Ancient Harvest’s Quinoa Pasta

Easy Quinoa Pasta Dish

My dietary needs have changed drastically, underscoring the need for focus on a more aggressive change. I recently discovered the superfood, quinoa. The most important package it brings to the nutrition table is a complete protein. This grain/seed is so impressive, I wrote about it in Jaquo article, Quinoa: Impressive. ... Read More

Quinoa: Impressive!

When I first heard of Quinoa, I read of it actually, I wasn’t impressed. I also hadn’t a clue how to pronounce it either. I’m sorry to say that when I went into the local store to inquire, the sales persons I encountered didn’t know what it was – whether I spelled it, tried to pronounce it or described it. If I hadn’t read about it while surfing the internet, I would have thought myself to have gone doolally and made it up ... Read More

Wonderbag Recipe: 15 Bean Soup

“Thunderation,” roared Speaker of the House Joe Cannon of Illinois. “I had my mouth set for bean soup! From now on, hot or cold, rain, snow, or shine, I want it on the menu every day.”

There's something about bean soup that warms the heart and fills the belly. That something is better than anything a Micky D's burger and fries can do for someone. Check out my recipe here.

My Idea of Chili Stew

"Next to jazz music, there is nothing that lifts the spirit and strengthens the soul more than a good bowl of chili." Harry James

There's nothing like a hot bowl of chili stew to bring some cheer into the winter gloom. Check out my recipe here.

Lemony Sweet Elixir

I've gotten another hub up. I've been wanting to do a lens for a while on this topic. So I've finally gotten around to it and it's now up on HubPages. Lemonade is a favorite for me. I'm not really fond of canned, bottled, powdered or other lemonade products. They usually are too sweet or have an aftertaste. Please visit my lemonade recipe.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

I looked at quinoa crosseyed the first time I saw it in an article. It took me some time before I bought it and put it on the shelf. Then, I discovered it significant nutritional value - it's a complete protein. That's a plus. It's also not an animal protein. I do eat meat, but I like to keep meat consumption to only a few times a week. Do stop in and have a look see at my recipe, Quinoa Tabouleh.

No Fail Rice

I've mentioned a few times I've been using the WonderBag when I cook. I have no trouble making rice for sushi, but when it comes to fluffy steamed rice, I get a mess. Making rice in the Wonderbag is no-fail if I follow the instructions. Visit my hub on rice in the Wonderbag. The WonderBag is available on Amazon.

Chicken Sishebo

I love curry. So do many other people. What I love about curry is that so many cultures have put their stamp on it. Each has a slightly different spin. And one learns a little bit about the culture from which it originates as well. South African curry stew is quite good and very hearty. Check out my recipe on HubPages for Chicken Sishebo. You can also check out the WonderBag here.
